Bengaluru's inaugural subterranean air-conditioned market, Palike Bazaar, situated in Vijayanagar near the Metro station and bus stand, officially welcomed the public last Sunday. This establishment is heralded as South India's premier underground market, drawing inspiration from Delhi's renowned Palika Bazaar. Noteworthy progress also includes the approval of the Tunnel Road initiative to alleviate the city's enduring traffic issues. The ambitious 18-kilometre dual-tube tunnel, stretching from Hebbal Flyover to Central Silk Board Junction, will feature five access points. Despite these developments, it will be some time before residents of Bengaluru can benefit from the Tunnel Road infrastructure.
